Never Sol : Czech pop may rise again

Never Sol
Czech Rising Star

Czech Music sceen that is one big question ‘?’. Is it bad ? No. Is it good ? Commercialy ? No. But beneath the tv (ish) and magazine (ish) nonsences is hidden well formed underground, jazz, blues and perhaps so well functioned ska section. But from time to time out of radio and music groups media – Yes you Universal, we hear true treasure and hope for our local scene and right now – couple moths after realease – I shall give you rise.

Sára Vondrášková or as she calls herself in business field – NEVER SOL – is a pianist, singer and songwriter – she indeed has some beautiful talents in her possetion. Right now – we would call her part of indie genre but it is beautifully composed pop with calming sensation and art (ish) beauty seen in Czech Republic so long or little ago.

Debut album – Under Quiet – released by czech company Supraphon was given nice rising marketing by single ‘Lay Down’ by it’s use in movie ‘Ve Stínu’ (In The Shadow). It is mix of dream and scenic music fitted into piano pop and has some memorable tunes as well as possible use of background music. Quite multifunctional.
